See How Plagiarism Creates Success

Yes! Plagiarism does create success in Network marketing, MLM and online marketing industry, for those who are following and dedicated to a proven system. It’s an overrated word to achieve success in your online marketing business.

If you’re new to network marketing or online marketing, you will immediately notice how trainers, coaches or consultants mentions, in order for you to get success you will have to follow a duplicated system or duplicate the person who is having success.

The infamous saying, “Don’t reinvent the wheel, if it is not broken.” The oddest theory about this, is that it is so true.

Even professionals, they had to learn their skills from someone else who had the skills they wanted and  duplicated it then refined it and incorporated into their own profession.

There are successful professional authors, that write and create books, audios and videos, proclaiming duplication is the way to success. Don’t take my word for it, go read this book for starters, “Think And Grow Rich” by Napolean Hill, this a great book to read, besides hundred of others. I was introduced to this book by my first sales job, selling cars in Hawaii and my former sales coach highly encouraged it and made it mandatory to read it. I second it!

Plagiarism Sound Bad Compared To Duplication

I attended a teleclass group meeting and the guest speaker mentioned jokingly about plagiarism, on the call and how it creates success in most home-base business. I thought…. hmm.. this was an ironic philosophy way of training, in what I am not accustom to and for most of us, I am sure. So here I am, writing about this topic.

I suppose I could use the word duplication, nah…it doesn’t have the same affect. What do I mean by this, plagiarism sound like a bad word compared to duplication, but it mean the same. It is a well taught philosophy, in the network marketing and online marketing industry with great successful intentions.

I really haven’t thought about it nor analyzed this word, until now.. I had a ahh ha…. moment how this plagiarism method is a growing epidemic among online marketers and network marketing professionals.

Next time, take notice when you are viewing or listening to a person, audio or video and recognize what is being said in their verbiage. Here’s the kicker, even if you are taught to learn the art of duplication you’re told to implement your own originality into your business. What an oxymoron theory, here’s why… copy and originality, equals success. This method is working for many and changing their lives and lifestyle.

Restrictions With Duplicate Content

Of course, there are limitations not to abuse and overlook plagiarism, it’s legally enforced within school academics, occupations, and products or services. If you’re caught with copying right information of another persons work, test or product or service, you are harshly penalized for it. Gosh even the Google bots are slapping your hand.

And at times it may cost you your scholarship, your career and fees and/or imprisonment. I think most of us, can decipher what is good and what is not. I’m not enforcing or condoning it, there are exceptions to the rule and it doesn’t apply to all fields.

Plagiarism – the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one’s own original work.

Duplication – a copy exactly like an original.

Principles With Words Of Encouragement Used Often…

  • Keep an open mind and Follow A Proven System
  • Don’t reinvent the wheel, if it’s not broken
  • Duplicate the person with success to get the same results
  • Action creates success by applying yourself
  • Are You teachable and trainable
  • Emulate success in what to do, what to say and how to do it
  • Duplicate success but design it in your own style
  • A System Is Set-up For You To Follow
  • What works for me, may work for you
  • Change is Good and It’s A Mindset
  • Don’t Do What I Say, But Do What I Do

These are just a few cliche words used by online and offline trainers, coaches and consultants. And many of these quotes and statements has true relevancy to it.

Why…. because the average person are not applying these successful methods in their lives nor being taught to change their mindset. I love this statement, by Napolean Hill -” 98% of people have no firm beliefs or clear goals” to become rich and only 2% are.

A former President to multimillionaires, observing this network marketing and online marketing industry and some are taking action by designing their own duplicated operation and capitalizing on it. Success is not new to a successful entrepreneur, they recognize true potential and go for it. Even the savvy entrepreneur has to learn how to duplicate new strategies and methods to make their business successful.

The only one that can stop you from your own dreams and success, is you! Keep in mind there are duplicated proven systems and trainings working for those who never quit and are passionate enough to fulfill their own potential.

This is the new wave of the future, either you get on board or keep doing what you’re doing. We all live by the same 24 hours in a day, and it just depends on how you are using your time. There are future alternatives, when you are ready to make a change.

Wow-I’m impressed, I must say. extremely rarely do I discovered a blog that’s each educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Your opinion is outstanding; the matter are some things that not lots of people are speaking intelligently regarding. I’m very happy that I stumbled across this in my look for something about it.

  6. Interesting perspective… definitely made me think. My two cents is that where the line comes in is with permission. Some coaches (smart ones!) will tell their students, go ahead and copy what I’m doing, here’s the blueprint, text to use, etc. And then it’s not exactly plagiarism since it’s been authorized. Nothing ethically wrong with that. 🙂

    • @Michelle, glad you came by and left a sweet input. I know we been taught not to copy others but there are exceptions in our field of marketing. Success is based on those who are acquiring it and learn from those to deliver the same results or similar. Mahalo, Lani 🙂

  7. Hi Lani!

Nice new look for your website!

Anyway, I think that we are all of the understanding that plagiarism per se is bad as it is akin to “stealing” intellectual property rights. But if you place it in a context about following the footsteps of successful people who employed the same strategies that you are trying to emulate to your own success then I guess that context of plagiarism can create success. (Of course, there is implied consent to duplicate its success in the first place!). 🙂

I would have to agree with most commentators here that the title was really intriguing and catchy. Good headline, indeed! 🙂

    • @Elmar, always appreciate the sweet input and welcome you here anytime. Yeah, I thought I add a bit of a ruffle to the feathers with this word and I was curious to see what others thought. Thanks for noticing the new look, I get bored and like to change it around, sorta like my home. A woman thing, I guess.. Lol Mahalo, Lani 🙂

  8. Aloha Lani,

Great article and I love the title! It’s true, duplication is the key and all entrepreneurs say to learn from someone who has gone before you. That’s duplication! It’ll also save people decades of time and money!

We live in such an exciting time right now because all of the information is there to be “copied”. When we built our business, there was nothing out there other than the phone and a fax machine… LOL! I am dating myself, but it was true.

Thank you for sharing such valuable information.

    Much aloha,
    Kellie 🙂

    • @Kellie, I always appreciate your sweet present on my blog and leaving me a sweet comments with words of wisdom. Gosh the internet is a bless to enhance ones knowledge in many facets in life. We just have to apply ourselves and make the best of it. Glad You came by. Mahalo, Lani 🙂

Plagiarism is the hidden Secret to Success. As young man I was constantly emulating my Mentors. It is amazing how we can Evolve our Own Style if we commit to our subconscious those gems of other proved success paths.
Thank you for the reference to Think and Grow Rich. I was fortunate to have the book assigned as reading as a college freshman in 1960.
That simple system easily retained allowed my lifestyle to be very rewarding.
I have not “invented” anything NEW, just made things better

  10. Hi Lani,

    I luv the headline.

I hadn’t made a connection between the 2 terms since I hadn’t thought thru the definition. Plagiarism carries a toxic connotation. Duplication, simple and easy. Both concepts are similar though. Standing on the shoulders of giants, without taking credit for the giant’s intellectual property.

Use a system, but make it your own. Sure, sticking to the framework helps a great deal. But you must put a simple twist on your work to become really successful. To become attractive. To touch many people’s lives in a positive way.

Duplicate, and do some originating on the way too.

Thanks for the thought-provoking read Lani.

    Ryan

    • @Ryan, well said and nicely put. I suppose the title does add some spunk to make the person think and some things are cool to follow, just don’t forget make it you to make it more real, alive and authentic. Mahalo, Lani 🙂

  11. Karla Campos says:

I have a strong belief in business and life ethics, and I agree that if a system works it is fine to follow as long as it serves the greater good of society. If a system is unethical and yet it works as far as sales are concerned, I personally wouldn’t follow it because I believe in treating others they way I want to be treated.

  12. Holly says:

I will have to reread this to really form more of an opinion here. I am an MLMer and duplication is the ‘key’ they say.. My daughter just got hauled into the University accused of Plagiarism. Hmmm… Very thought provoking as I hadn’t thought of it quite the same way.. Great post!

    • @Holly, I appreciate your sweet input and for dropping. I suppose we are traditionally taught to do it on our own and with a different twist to gain a better lifestyle, copying a proven system is working for most who stay with the system and most of all taking action. Of course, there are limitations using this principle, just use our own originality within a system and not go over board with duplicating anything. Mahalo, Lani 🙂
