T.V. Show- Shark Tank: While flipping through the television channel this show Shark Tank, immediately caught my attention. First of all, it involved successful billionaire and millionaires business investor owners, putting their own money on the line and making quick business decisions on television by selecting investment business partner(s) and taking risks. They do it with confidence, sincerity and on the spot decisions.

What was so cool about it was how they candidly explained what they were looking for in their business partners, what kind of business is it or invention sparked their attention and finally what was the investments financial asset made in their business.

If you have a business proposition for the Sharks as a investor, you better know what your business is about and how it will monetize. If you don’t, they will spit you out as quick as the person came through the door. This applies to all business.

Make the best to be selective with spam comments by modifying it to boost your Page Rank. Of course, this is based on my experience and how I deal with comment spammers.

In most cases, I’ll give the person the benefit of the doubt and see whose linking to my blog and view what their information pertains to. It’s pertinent to be concerned! Make it a habit to see whose linking to your blog, because one can’t be too careful in what may be attached to their comments.  For instance, dead or error links, adult content and malicious virus links, waiting for you or a viewer to click on it. Comments In My Email Inbox: Most of us, our comments from people appear in our email inbox, so it makes it easier to check what kind of comments being placed on our blog or social sites. I play it safe and I monitor what comes in and what goes out and I on purposely set my blog comments to be viewed based on my authorization before it gets displayed to the public. Don’t fight it just get even by modifying and monitoring incoming comments.

What To Expect With Irrelevant Comments

As internet marketers and bloggers, we take pride in our work and due our diligence to share valuable content with others. Spam is a continuous nag for most, but we have to deal with it and get creative. Most know about the cons, but I’ll cover more on the pros and how to turn around spam comments.

Most of it, appear in places such as blogs, social sites like Twitter, Youtube and Facebook, these sites allow contextual comments and people select an attached link to redirect you to a website,  squeeze page or landing page to promote their products or services. Most of the time it contain no relevance to your content.

In effect, most online marketers try to distract spammers by setting up automated anti-spam software’s or installing a WordPress plugin or manual delete  spam to deter others from imposing on your sites.

Finding Value In A Spam Comment

You might be asking yourself, what do I mean by this? Keep reading on you will see what I mean by adding value with spam comments. For the average internet marketer’s we know comments creates back links and increases PR rating on your site. So there are great benefits to comments!  Extract from high quality sites, I may add.

Test The Links: When you adjust the url address link, at times to the home page you may get a higher PR, off of their irrelevant comment. Of course, you may want to use this with spammers content only and be selective, most I had to trash.

I am listing some basic methods I used to update my spam comments to benefit my site. This is what I did. You will be surprised how many stagnant comments you have active on your page and posts.  Read on…

1. Clear out any unwanted comments from dead links or expired domain urls
2. Comment(s) attached with virus links.
3. In appropriate site links such as adult, squeeze page, and landing pages.
4. Irrelevant content with low PR ratings, ie..  eCommerce sites with products and services offers and lengthy address url(s).
   
5. Delete repetitive content usage on each page or posts.
6. Disguised IP addresses with same website link.

Adding a positive twist on your site and taking control of it can be beneficial to your blog.  As I have noted here. Try it… you may add some value to your own site with a few comment modifying. Remember this is your turf and not theirs. They ought to appreciate it that you kept the comment.

Comment Tools I Use: I continue to use Firefox, and they have this awesome add-on tool called SEO Quake. This tool detects Page Rank ratings on websites and social sites through the address url link. It may not always be accurate or the best but it’s better than nothing. I’m sure there are other software tools out there. For now I’m content using this tool.

Also, for those who have been working online for awhile we can identify who the spammers are. Spammers avoid branding tools such as Gravatar. I believe those who are branding themselves are transparent in every way, even as simple as commenting. So there you go nothing to fancy, but just creative fundamental experiments to enhance your business without the fuss.

Stay On top Of Your Social Networking Sites….

I finally decided to update my Facebook Timeline Fanpage by creating some new photo images and getting familiarize with the new features. I’m guilty I waited till the end. But I got it done. I prefer the old version, but it’s not like we as users have an option. I don’t think I am alone out there, I see a lot of  profiles and fanpages sitting on the old style pages and if they switched over to the new Timeline version they are not utilizing the image features at all.

Maybe most folks are unfamiliar how to use the new timeline version or skeptical what images to add. So later in my post I will briefly touch on how to add an image to your cover photo, profile picture thumbnail and the Icon Apps image to make your page stand out.

Create A Brand With Your Layout Timeline

With the new Timeline layout, a photo image maybe everything to brand who you are or what you’re representing. I won’t profess to be a professional graphic designer, but some things do come natural to me and I like to keep it simple to share with others. First of all, if you have access to a graphic editing tool like Photoshop, gimp, Pixlr, there are tons of other graphic editing tools to use. The one I like to use is Pixlr, because it’s a simple graphic software tool and I like the fact that I don’t have to download the software to my computer. I only save the photo images I create onto my computer.

Just a side note: Remember your images need a host and it may have to be stored on your own computer or in your WordPress file, so don’t delete the saved photo files you may delete your images from where you’re displaying it at.

I have to say, I was apprehensive at first not sure where to start with my fanpage timeline updates, so I decided to start with my photo image brands. Yes.. I said Brands! With the new changes landing pages will no longer be the first thing you see but a cover photo image will take the place of a landing page to get the viewers attention. So be creative with your cover photo image and stay within the guidelines with what facebook request of us, and it keeps them off your back.

Okay, let’s get down to business.

1. Cover Photo Layout Image: 851 x 315 Pixels
2. Profile Picture Image Thumbnail: 180 x 180 pixels (fb will make any further image adjustments)
3. Apps Icon Image: 111 x 74 pixels

There are benefits to using Url shortener’s and some draw backs, which I will cover more on. Believe it or not some sites oppose it.

Shorten url disguises the original link and it makes it somewhat difficult for others to determine if the link will redirect you to a good site or a contaminated one.

I must say…. at times I hesitate to open up any shorten link that look foreign to me, unless I am familiar with the person or a site I have dealt with before. Unfortunately, these shorten urls has been abused one to many times.

However, I believe url shortener’s (Uniform Resource Locator) was created with good intention. For instance, web addresses are getting longer,  so we use url shortening and also known as domain alternatives. For example: Here’s the long address url link before being shortened. IE.. https://www.facebook.com/lanikee2success, and this is the shorten url bitly version: http://on.fb.me/wtxaWn .  Another term used for this is called cloaking your links.

The Benefits In Using Shorten Url

This popular social network site Twitter, they use bitly shorten url for most posted links an also it’s helpful to allow more characters to get your message out.

Primarily online network marketer’s use shorten urls to protect their affiliate link from being hijacked by other dishonest online users. What may happen to your promotional affiliate link, is that it gets switched out and you don’t receive credit for your referral promotions, the other person does. So it is best to be alert about situation like this.

Recently, I have noticed that certain sites placed limitation on the use of shorten url and blocked, closure or failed opening certain shorten url link. It may be based on complaints, abuse and the overwhelming spamming on the way these url shorteners, are being used. Filters have been created by online companies to stop the use of specific shorten url’s to be used with affiliate links. See the example below.

So to avoid this pop-up, I am using this alternative service to avoid my affiliate link(s) from being blocked, and this tool is from WordPress a plugin called Pretty Link, installed on my blog. I haven’t run into any trouble using this Wp plugin tool. No blocks, closure or failure to open redirected links and you’re able to use your links on any other sites. It works for me, without any restrictions so far, which is nice. On top of that you can customize the url how you want it to appear, which is very simple to do. Illustration picture below:

Professional affiliate promoters use url shortening for tracking, sharing and analyzing affiliate links for their business. If you want to stay in the game you have to know where your traffic is coming from and what affiliate links are generating more popularity than others. Use what is working and eliminate what is not.

Expect progression with the use of shorten url’s, because the internet has become a demanding money making machine for online marketers for promoting and referring name brand companies products or services. From airlines to eCommerce stores, and digital and physical products, it’s hard not to miss, there are live links and banners everywhere you surf online.

A Side Note: This peeks my interest…. I am wondering if Google recognizes my blog domain address url name since Pretty link cloaks my affiliate links to my WordPress domain name. If anyone knows this answer, I would appreciate your feedback here.

Be selective with what site links to clear and once you’re done viewing a site immediately clear the cookies if you’re not going to return to that site for further viewing or hopefully you have an anti-virus that does it for you.

Clearing Cookies – first method go to the top of the tool bar, click on it and a drop down menu appears.

Click on Page Info.. Link then press on Security button. Next press on View Cookies.. button and clear the selected cookies that is not needed.

How To Enable Deleted Firefox Cookies

If you inadvertently cleared your Firefox cookies, here’s a helpful tip how to   enable it. Similar to the first step to clearing cookies.

Enable Deleted Cookies Steps: Go up to tool bar menu and depress on Tools link then scroll down to Options.. link  click on it and it will automatically open on the Privacy box.

Next scroll down from Privacy link to Exceptions.. Tab depress on it and another box opens displaying description information in what cookies are stored in the box as sites – allowed and status – blocked.

Of course the block status click on Remove Site button and close the boxes. Final step go back to log in site and refresh site and proceed to log in and it should open into the site dashboard and it’s fixed. Pretty simple and amazing now you’re a pro.

After 3 years as an assisting coach manager, you would think J Mac, would have a bad attitude because he didn’t get to play, but only to assist his teammates with supplying them with towels, water and motivating his team, because of his autism condition.

I like his attitude, Jason didn’t flinch at his duties he enjoyed and love the sport and didn’t mind motivating the players. He has a winning attitude! See how he finally gets his break and naturally takes success by the ball and scores not one time, but six times, three point baskets, one-after-another. I think the other team was so shocked that, they just stood there watching the ball go in. Amazing!

On the clock there is only 4:19 minutes left to the game and Jason, gave it his best and made it a success for him and his school. With the grace of faith from his coach and some of his teammates prayed saying, “God, let him  just to make one basket” and he did better than that.

He went out with a bang and became an instant celebrity in his school. In-addition, J Mac, had a chance to meet former Pres. Bush, Oprah and popular basketball player Magic Johnson, due to his success in the sport he loves. This was his last year in high school and the beginning of a new life.
