I really appreciate innovative software creators. Rather it is a free tool like Zoomit or a paid tool with free trial like Camtasia, either one it gives you similar usage for your internet purpose.

I know what you might be thinking…. let me guess. Either you may thank me for the free download tool or it may cross your mind I’m cheap. Well it doesn’t matter  because I can deal with it.

I like helping people and saving money. Think about it online tools can get very expensive if you don’t do your research, because it adds up eventually on a monthly or yearly basis. I suppose free tools may not have the same bang for the buck as a paid software tool, but they still get the job done when ever you need it.

For one, I like the magnifying tool to zoom in closer when you want to expand a word or picture and you’ll especially like the dragnifier tool. You can drag your cursor up, down and move from left to right, which makes it very useful when you’re doing a video clip training. Here’s another useful feature the screen pen tool, with this you’re able to underline, circle or use a pointer to show what you’re trying to display in your examples. Zoomit is a cool tool to know about and they offer other neat features with it. IE…

Features Of Operation:

1. Hold down CTRL & 1, enable zoomit & start the magnifying
2. CTRL & 2, start the screen pen: click alphabets for the Color P=ink, O, G, R=ed, etc.
3. ESC button, neutralizes to normal screen use.

The internet has come a long way and they sure made it much easier to explore your online software options. I really have nothing against paid tools, I’ve done my deeds with a few of them. I remember when I first got started working online and I attended and observed a few webinars, which was fascinating to see all the nifty tools they used. They zoomed in and out and drew squares and circles to emphasize their information with there demos.

Being curious, I texted the trainer, what tool were you using and she text me back Camtasia, isn’t great. Of course I said yeah… next I asked how much does it cost? She said $299 yearly. I contemplated if this was feasible for me to purchase or should I look for a tool that doesn’t cost so much. I’m glad I stumbled on Zoomit and imagine that this tool been out there for a few years.

I believe everyone has choices and decisions to be make. I made mine. Some will do their research and others will use whatever everyone else is using, which is fine. Don’t overlook a software just because it’s free and just because there is a pretty penny attached to it, it doesn’t mean you don’t have other options. If you feel like you’re being spied on you are, without your permission. In fact, the motivation is to monitor your shopping and buying habits. Most marketing experts in commercial businesses use tracking tactics to promote their products and services, to entice you. In a creepy and silent way, their ads show up to trigger your hot buying button.

Intrusive Use Of Technology To Track Consumers

It’s a fact that the big “G” agrees to pay $22.5 million in fines for violating consumers privacy. Plus they had to sign a 20 year company pledge agreement with the FTC agency, not to mislead consumers about its privacy practices. Which I read, *Credit to Arizona republic for this article. “Google agrees to $22.5 million fine.”

Again, this popular method is used for online tracking called snippets of computer codes, known as cookie. Basically to impose targeted advertisement markets to pitch you.

Because Google was caught using such intrusive technology they immediately withdrew this method of technology and marketing manipulation. I suppose we can look at this penalty as a FTC slap. Although I feel, there are still some of this going on, because I still recognize familiar use of advertisements when I go on new sites and the prior information continues to show up. Also, there are other types of cookie, as I noted here below.

A List Of Terminologies In Cookie To Recognize:

It’s a must for most marketing companies to monitor consumers buying habits. For the use of session management, personalization and tracking. This strategy Cookie derived from “magic cookie” a packet of data program comes in and goes out unchanged and used as computing computer programming. IE….

• Session cookie – exist while the user is reading or navigating the website.
• Secure Cookie – only used thru HTTPS
• HttpOnly – supported by most modern and popular browsers.
• Persistent – will outlast the users sessions.
• Zombie – automatically recreated even if it was deleted.
• Super cookie – with domain to be the same or sub domain of the requested host.

There are various usage with online cookie and it’s vital to enable them on your computer. This is based on my experience with cookie clearing and deletion of them. Its a no, no….. not all codes are bad.

You will notice some cookie are used to give you access to login to a website, known as the browser settings. I learned quickly when I deleted all my Firefox cookie on my computer and I had to immediately re-enable it. Again, this is another form of cookie to be aware of.

So if you’re unable to sign in on your website or any other social sites, just review the link on deleted firefox cookie. In this case, monitoring and tracking for purchasing purpose is not recognized with these cookie code, but strictly for login access.

Keep in mind, this is a general coverage to keep you aware of and not to panic if you feel that you are being spied on. Some are harmless, compare to others used for theft. But that is another topic to cover on.

This is old news for Google and people are finally taking them serious. Including me, so I ran an analysis and website speed test on my webpage.

I never ran one before or even knew why I had to, now I know the importance of it. Primarily lessen viewers bounce rate and the big G ratings.

As for users attention span: Studies show that users leave a site if it hasn’t loaded in 4 seconds; keep your users happy and engaged by providing a fast performing webpage!

When was the last time you checked your load time on your site? If you wondered how to do this, just follow along with me and I’ll show you how. I did my simple research and made some adjustments and it increased my speed a bit. I can’t complain!

Avoid The Issues:  As chaotic and a fear factor happening online nowadays, people are not sure what to expect from the search engines or they are afraid of being eliminated. Plus, Reading about all the hoopla with the Penguin and Panda Updates, which I think it should have been called corrections, load time was mentioned on their list. Don’t cut corners get your webpage in order, do it one-step at a time and keep it simple and don’t bend their rules. You don’t want to end up starting all over again, there are a few online marketers, starting off fresh again. They lost their valuable websites, content and traffic.

Take notice when browsing online how some websites run faster than others, there’s reasons behind it, which I will cover here.

Okay I’m keeping it real here, I’m not one of those analytical techie person, although I do pay attention when Matt Cutts, hints about website speed on your site. And webmaster developers are paying close attention on how their sites are loading.  So get your site tested and fixed.

Not A Funny Matter: I’ve read that your site should load 8 seconds or less. There are so many factors involved, but I’m going to touch on the basic tools I feel comfortable with. So, do your research what works best for you or check with your webmaster developer.

Website Analysis Factors To Keep In Mind

• Slow Connectivity -the provider you use; DSL, cable, etc.
• Browser Use – Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox
• Multiple Use Of Unnecessary Plugins – WordPress plugins
• Image Or Pictures Size – avoid reduce transfer size or scaling down the image, using an image editor to compress true size of image.
• Limit Widget Gadgets – social buttons, images and videos. Try to put them below the fold or bottom of page.
•  AVOID Or Reduce Redirects – using 301 or 302 status codes. The main thing to remember is that redirects slows down the users. We know how we get when we have to be delayed a few seconds longer, we end up leaving the page.
• Split Components Across Domains – like static pages. Supposedly you’re allowed to use 2 to 4 domains on your main webpage. ie….www.example.com, www.static1.example.com

As I mentioned, there are many factors and these are some of them to keep in mind. Just keep your webpage simple.

Tools To Test Your Website Speed

Here’s a simple method to use, a WordPress plugin called Wp Super Cache comes into play if your server is underpowered or you’re experiencing heavy traffic. With a few modifications you should be good to go. Plugins are wonderful and simple to make others to navigate through your site and be found, like sitemaps.

Here are the recommendations setting to follow through for your settings.

Recommended Settings: check off once plugin is implemented.

Easy Tab Setting – Enable plugin by checking off box and save it from the Wp dashboard.

Advanced Tab – Enable the following…. some are on default settings and a couple you need to manually check off and save it.

1. Php caching
2. Compress pages
3. Don’t cache pages for known users
4. Cache rebuild
5. Extra homepage checks
6. Mobile Device

Check Your Website Speed: In addition, a few more tools to analyze and test my webpage load speed. I used three different tools and this one is okay showing my load time. It’s not that bad, but it still need some work to it to speed it up more.

I tested another popular and favorite site, which I visit occasionally and it kicked out at ms time – (milliseconds), plus it was faster than 90% of all tested websites. Now that is one fast site. {IE.. my webpage is loading at:}

If you have not revised your Youtube new layout channel, in most cases it’s situated in the default setting.

Updates are a must with most social network sites, because it show cases your links and content as free display billboard. So get it out of the default settings.

Why is that…. default setting displays  the videos in random sequence order with no descriptions, unless you go into your channel dashboard and arrange it accordingly. Before the change, the old channel version hid your primary information from the public, unless you scrolled down the page. 2. Submit and publish your url link to other sites and social network sites
3. Enter your domain address url to Google site (if you haven’t done so)
4. Ping your new content blog, video, etc.
5. Submit a RSS/Atom as a site feed

Getting De-indexed By Google Is The Hot Topic Awareness

I don’t know about you, but if you’re trying to get your content indexed by Google it can be a fierce competition at times, because of changes and everyone is striving to be on page one.  Lately businesses to webmasters, are ranting how their sites are disappearing or being de-indexed from search engines. Most sites getting affected is due to shady tactics that is being used online or possibly Google is getting too sensitive about every issue that is not complying with their guidelines. Time will tell….

However, we use the data in your Sitemap to learn about your site’s structure, which will allow us to improve our crawler schedule and do a better job crawling your site in the future. In most cases, webmasters will benefit from Sitemap submission, and in no case will you be penalized for it.

Great tools come in small packages or big ones like Google External Keyword Search. When I first started with online marketing, I had no inclination in what specific words or phrases to look for and how important common specific word search would impact my blog.

Keywords are the main substance to any online business and if you don’t use them correctly, then your content may get lost in the shuffle. Of course, you’re not only looking for your regular visitors coming to your site, but reaching other unique visitors for global exposure. Which means…. Free organic traffic is what it comes down to.

I’m finding myself, the more I indulge online to learn the better I become to recognize what to search for and believe me keywords are a big search factor on the internet. Think about it, rather it be you online or others, we are all searching for specific common used words and Google gathers all these words and place it in their huge database of common used searched words. Then when a person types in a particular word, guess what the search box immediately pulls up, similar keywords we’re all searching for. As displayed here.

Important Note: Keep in mind, this is something most of us may overlook since we’re from different states and/or countries, we tend to type in words in how we speak. So don’t ignore this strategy just remember it when searching for words, which can be helpful presently or in the future.

If you’re a novice, amateur or expert, it’s getting tougher to search for good words online. The competition is getting smarter and educated in what to search for.  But don’t be discouraged because for a combination of reasons, people are giving up. You work so hard, keep trying! Not to be cynical, but it’s true.

This is how some experts ends up picking up used domain names and expired blogs for sale and using it to rank on the search engines. So Don’t Quit!

Google keyword tool is not only to detect popular searched words, but to get theme ad group ideas that are related to your product or service.  When placing a word or phrase in the find keyword box, it will display various pin point words searched for by others and statistics.

The columns equates to an important equation to narrow down a niche you are looking for and ready to be added as part of your content, title or tags. It’s all about who is search for your common word.  IE….

Now as online marketers, we are well aware of all the corrections that are occurring online by Google, so as a friendly reminder don’t over stuff your content with keywords. Be creative in writing your content and use unique relevant content, and by with interlinking within your own site to receive a better outlook with the bots.  Try not to use redundant words and phrases. So your site don’t get penalized.

The old keyword philosophy is out, but not broken, just show your true talents online with valuable content that everyone can appreciate including the bots. Oh, don’t look or choose highly competitive words or phrases, but for specific words with lower monthly searches to rank higher.
